how to install an envato theme on wordpress.com

I have purchased a theme on Envato Market and need to know if I can install it on an exsisting blog to change the theme. Is there a tutorial that I can follow. I am new to WordPress.

Hi there. It’s not possible to install any themes bought elsewhere on WordPress.com. There is no upgrade that changes this, so there is no way you can use that particular theme. See: http://en.support.wordpress.com/themes/adding-new-themes/
The only themes we can use are the ones listed here: https://wordpress.com/themes/

Will I only be able to use the wordpress template if the domain is hosted independently from WordPress.com? -
Yes, themes bought elsewhere can only be used on the self-hosted WordPress.org software. You can see these links for more information if you want to look into that option: http://en.support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/
