how to install opt-in , in sidebar of blog

  i want to know can i add an opt-in page on my blog in the sidebar? I am using the free twenty ten template. if yes, how do i do that?
  If no, what template can i use to get an opt-in page?

  Hi there. I’m afraid we can’t use getresponse on WordPress.com. The form-code in the html widget you get from their site is automatically blocked on WordPress.com for security reasons and we can’t use the plugin as that is only available for self-hosted sites.

  However, there are other options for users to subscribe to your site, or to collect their personal information (with their permission, of course) if that’s what you need. If you simply want an email subscription option, you can use the follow blog widget: https://en.support.wordpress.com/widgets/follow-blog-widget/

  If you need to collect more information, you can use the contact form: https://en.support.wordpress.com/contact-form/ Note that the contact form won’t subscribe users to your site, though.
