How to Integrate WordPress Multisite in my Subdomain? So I can manage it in a single domain.
-
Hi!
I am using WordPress Multisite and I already setup new subdomain. I have not installed WordPress on my Subdomain using the CPanel of my Web Hosting.I am asking if do I need to install WordPress from Softaculous in my Subdomain for it to work?
I am thinking that I can install wordpress in my subdomain using WordPress Multisite. Could you please provide me an instruction so I can manage subdomains on my Main WordPress Multisite.
I did all the things like creating subdomain, creating ‘A Records’ that points out to my WordPress Multisite, creating new subdomain install from WordPress Multisite. But whenever I am accessing the admin page on the subdomain I created using my WordPress Multisite, it says ‘not found 404’.
Could you please help me solve this matter or provide some guides?
I also read this https://www.wpbeginner.com/wp-tutorials/how-to-install-and-setup-wordpress-multisite-network/#:~:text=You%20can%20install%20plugins%20%2F%20themes,on%20one%20%E2%80%9Cmaster%E2%80%9D%20install.but found it unhelpful in my case.
Thanks!

It sounds like your site is not hosted with WordPress.com. It is a site using the open-source WordPress software (from WordPress.org) but hosted elsewhere.
Because WordPress.com and WordPress.org are two entirely separate entities, we cannot access files or data for sites that are hosted elsewhere, so WordPress.com staff can only assist with sites that are hosted on our servers.
You can find more information here about the differences between WordPress.org software and WordPress.com: https://wordpress.com/support/com-vs-org/
https://wordpress.org/support/ is a great resource for sites using the open source WordPress.org software, and you can find support for that at: https://wordpress.org/support/forums/
Specifically I would ask in the Advanced forums since this is about multisite:
https://wordpress.org/support/forum/wp-advanced/I hope that helps!
