How to invite new users to register with my blog directly thru my email account?

  Yesterday I sent out email invites to my club of 26 people and I am still waiting to hear back from all of them. This suggests that WordPress emails are being marked as spam and as a work around I would like to send the emails directly from my email account. How do I do that so that they will be able to register with my blog?

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  I don’t think there’s an automated option to do that aside from the one you’ve already tried. If you only want to invite them to be followers I’d suggest just send a link to your blog in a regular email with an invitation to follow it once they’re there and then add the “Follow Blog” widget to your sidebar so they can sign up to follow it via email if they don’t have wordpress accounts.

  If you want to add them as contributors/authors the “Invite Users” option is the only one I know of. Perhaps send them a regular email to check their spam folders for your invite?
