how to just post in a category, not in home ?

  I want to post in a category and not as post of the homepage. How can i do this ?

  You can’t. All your posts will appear on the homepage. That is how blogs work.

  If what you want is to avoid a mix of subjects in your homepage, you can set it to be a static page; this way visitors will only have access to posts under one particular category at a time.
