How to just show post titles on home page

  I’m a newbie to blogging so please excuse if this is a dumb question, but I’ve started a blog and my posts all show up from newest to earliest on my home page.
  I’m using the zBench theme. Is there a way to just show the title and maybe a couple of lines (rather than the whole post) for each post so readers can scroll more quickly and click on category posts that relate to them?
