How to keep certain material on the home/landing page

  I would like to keep the initial post I wrote as the first thing the viewer encounters. I’d like it to be on the landing page and all other posts be something viewers need to access separately. How the heck do I do that?

  Also, how do I post a photo to the landing page?

  You can set a static front page following this guide: http://en.support.wordpress.com/pages/front-page/

  You’ll be using a page, rather than a post, but adding image works just the same.
