how to keep first post at the top of the first page all the time?

there is a HOME link alrady there as part of the theme – there was an About too but it was deleted somehow. I cannot see or find the HOME anywhere as to show me where it is located in the dashboard to help me to understand all of this stuff. sorry for the density.

I guess I am dumber than I think. sorry for wasting your time. I cannot find the HOME entry for a menu anywhere and if it is there I shlould be able to locate it – yes? no? thank you for all of your insight.

Please do this > Admin page top right hand corner > click Screen Options > and select all options
I see the Home link on your blog. It’s just a tab and not a a real page. When a visitor clicks that Home link at the top of your blog they will be returned to the front page of your blog no matter which page they are on.
To locate your pages go into the Admin side of your blog. Look in the far left column for Pages and click.http://winegrapesgarden.wordpress.com/wp-admin/edit.php?post_type=page
To edit an existing page look at this screen > http://en.support.wordpress.com/pages/edit-pages-screen/
