how to keep my site private until its ready

    hi everyone. I selected the option coming soon in settings . however when I go on the web and search for it, it still keeps popping up. I also tried to clear cache, still showing the old website. what to do please?

    Jetpack: Yes
    Correct account: Yes

    The privacy settings you chose for your site are correct in this use case.

    I checked whether Google, Bing, Yahoo!, and DuckDuckGo have indexed your site but found no results.

    💡 You can test this by opening any of the above search engines and typing the following query: site:yourdomain.com

    If they have indexed your site, the results will be listed regularly. Otherwise, you’ll see a message like “No results found for site ______.”
