How to keep sidebar when showcase template is used

  I am using twenty eleven and would like to activate the showcase template to place stick posts on the top of the blog. However, I would also like to keep the sidebar on the right hand side. Is that possible? I could not work out how.

  To populate the sidebars Ephemera Widget you can make use of the Aside or Link post formats when you create a new entry (or convert an old one).

  And if you want an introductory text message, just write it in the content of your Showcase page and it will appear on your site. And that’s it! http://theme.wordpress.com/themes/twentyeleven/

  thanks very much. Unfortunately that does not help. I know how to activate the Ephemera widget, but it only appears on the left hand side, but I would like to keep my sidebar on the right.

  The article I linked to describes how the theme is designed to operate. If what you are asking for is not how the theme is designed to operate then you need to locate another theme that meets your specs. http://theme.wordpress.com/

  @thomashauschildt,

  If you subscribe Custom Design upgrade, you can alter the layout with CSS. Just copy and paste the followings and you can move the sidebar to the right.

  .page-template-showcase-php #main .widget-area {
float: right;
margin: 0 0 0 -22.15%;
}
.page-template-showcase-php section.recent-posts {
float: left;
margin: 0 31% 0 0;
}

  Hope it helps!
