How to keep uploads from showing up in searches?

    Hi
    I was surprised to see that my product – that I try to sell on my site (sometimes) – shows up in a search engine search as a pdf that people can click on directly and download. This is what I found:

    ‘speech-therapyathome.com › wp-content › uploadsHow to “Fix” R Sounds at Home – Speech Therapy at Home’

    I’m sort of happy that it shows up in a search but how do I keep it private?

    Hi there,

    You’ll likely need a plugin to restrict that file so only people who paid for it can access it, and I’m guessing you’d need to modify your site’s robots.txt file to block search engines from accessing it.
