How To Leave An Empty Line
-
Hi,
Could someone please teach me how to leave an empty line?
In regards to this post:
http://earlychildcare.wordpress.com/?p=114
I’d just like a bit more empty white space above the black bold titles (Vedic Math? Math is good, Math is fun!).While we’re at it, I don’t suppose there’s a noob-friendly way of formatting text? I.e. I wish I had all those Microsoft Word functions, like choosing the font size, line spacing, word colour etc…
Thanks!

Add
where you want the empty line.
About the text formatting, try clicking the “Visual” button, right beside HTML, when you’re posting something. -

Yes, where you want the space you add <*br> without the *.
In your case, above the title. But don’t forget to write <br*> in the HTML mode. -
has been depreciated and will cause errors if used here and will not actually produce the desired effect since you cannot insert multiple break tags – they will be stripped out. For reference, the correct self-closing break tag is
<br />note the space between “r” and “/” .Take a look at this blog post which offers ways of increasing spacing between lines and paragraphs: http://wpbtips.wordpress.com/category/space-between-paragraphs/ .

Yea, I tried the < br > but nothing happened.
I’ll have a look at the link you posted, sacred. Or should I just go straight with the < br / >?
Thanks!

OK, I tried < br >, the < br / >, the hitting enter on visual, hitting enter on HTML, padding and div, but didn’t get anywhere…
Perhaps I’m not putting the coding in the right place?
So far I’ve been trying to change, for example:
‘- Teaching Maths in a fun, game-based manner
<h3 style=”text-align:justify;”>Vedic Math?</h3>
<p style=”text-align:justify;”>Although the word Vedic can be ‘into
