How to let YouTube automatically started
-
Hi folks,
I often need to embed YouTube videos in my blogs, for unknown reason, sometimes YouTube creates video that has a blurred thumbnail with it, so if the video cann’t be started automatically, then user will see a very bad video thumbnail although it becomes normal when user clicks play button.
Can I make YouTube started automatically? or how to resolve the blue issue?
You can see the blur video here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N4Zb4kWOn-Q
The video becomes blur when it is embedded in WordPress blog.
I ended up uploading the same video to another account and it’s working fine, ideally I can pick a picture for the thumbnail but it seems no such option for regular user.
Thank you.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Like I said, the video won’t look blur if you simply click and open it.
But if you embed it in your blog, it sits there waiting for user to click the play button, at that moment, it is blur

Can you please give us the url of the WordPress.com blog-post where you’ve put this video?

Agreeing that the video thumbnail was not very clear, I matched it with its thumbnail at YouTube.com, and found that there were no-differences in image quality of both.

So can the video be auto started? because it will become normal once started, I tried some suggestions from Google like including a ?autoplay=1, or &autoplay=1, it just doesn’t work.

I’m sorry that I took a lot of time to respond you. Here’s a similar thread and probably the answer, how to autoplay a YouTube video: https://en.forums.wordpress.com/topic/enable-youtube-autoplay-for-wordpresscom-a-workaround?replies=1#post-517679

I could answer this earlier, but I thought the problem was about ‘Blur image’ and I had answered that. :)
