how to link a domain that I own to a blog
-
I would like to create a new blog at happilytickedoff.com
I have changed the nameservers at my registrar, directnic to ns1, 2 and 3 listed here:
http://en.support.wordpress.com/domain-mapping/map-existing-domain/
I then go to my blogs, create another blog, enter happilytickedoff, select .com, click on the i own it link, enter Happily Ticked Off as the blog name and then click create blog.
The problem is that after clicking create blog the screen returns to the same form (now blank) that I just filled out.
thanks for the help,

Howdy, I don’t see the nameservers for happilytickedoff.com set to point to WordPress.com. Can you double check that you’ve set them properly with your domain registrar?
If you are wanting to map it to a new WordPress.com blog can you sign up for a free site first and then follow the steps in that document you linked to?

Howdy!
I just tripple checked. The nameservers are set to ns1.wordpress.com, ns2.wordpress.com and ns3.wordpress.com. I logged in to DirectNic and copy pasted them to this post. Let me know if I have the wrong info.
OK, I set up:
https://tickedattourettesyndrome.wordpress.com/
… OK … I just attempted to convert the new blog that I set up above for a third time. I was expecting to copy and paste the error message that I was receiving here … and then it worked.
I guess that the third time is the charm.
Thanks for the help!
