How to link a post to related posts
-
I am concerned about having the right theme for what is a newsy blog/website. I need to know, if you know, which templates allow me to have a “related content” box within a post … meaning, if I write a story and have related material that I want to link to (that I will put on a static page of my blog), how can I do that? News sites such as the New York Times and LA Times and many others have this feature and I want to be able to use it, too. Here’s what I’m talking about:

There are several pictures on the left of the main story that have hot-link text (and images) taking the readers to related stories. I have no clue how that works but I want to be able to do that with my blog.
Can you help?

Why not? It doesn’t seem like brain surgery, not to mention that WordPress offers what appear to me to be widgets, etc., that are no more or less complicated.

We do have some really cool widgets. Perhaps one of those might meet your needs?
Otherwise there are no restrictions if you setup a self-hosted WordPress.org blog instead of a WordPress.com blog, but there are some added responsibilities. We have hosting recommendations at the following link if you are interested.
