How to link dreamhost and wordpress?

  I have a .com address hosted by dreamhost, but I want to use wordpress to build the page. How do I link the two? WordPress keeps trying to force me to sign up for a new site.

  You can map your WordPress.COM blog for $13 a year by following these steps http://support.wordpress.com/domain-mapping/map-existing-domain/

  But if you have hosting then you may be more interested in a WordPress.ORG blog where you install the platform and add plugins and themes yourself, so you have more control: http://wordpress.org/
