how to link image to separate page?

I don’t know to to do this:
Options how to display an image:
Link to:
File: The thumbnail/image/title links to the original file
Page: The thumbnail/image/title links to a separate page with the image on it
None: The thumbnail/image/title is not linked to anythingI want my images to be clickable so that a new page opens up with just the image.
Tried numerous times, in different ways, but no luck.
Could someone help please? Thank you -
Don’t you want the link to page option then? I’ve found you have to go in after you’ve put the image in the post and use the Image Icon to format the link to open in a new window.

I have finally found out how to do it thanks to you. But could you please look at my test-post and see if it needs improvement? I don’t like that box that opens up when you touch the image with the cursor.
And also: what do I choose when it says: Link URL? after I uploaded:
file URL or Post URL ?? I don’t understand what the difference is or what it means. -

That pop-up box is your Snap Preview: disable it under Design->Extras.
File URL goes to the image file only. Post URL goes to the post you put the image in.
