How to link my avatar to my new blog

  • Unknown's avatar

When I started using wordpress my blog was called commonreaderblog.wordpress.com, a few months ago I transferred the content to shoshibookblog.wordpress.com and this is now the blog that I am working with. I’ve adjusted my avatar settings so that the avatar links to my most recent blog, and have deleted the webpage for commonreaderblog.wordpress.com

My problem is that, if I click on Shoshi1 (as it appears next to the avatar image) it directs me to a page which says “commonreaderblog.wordpress.com is no longer available. The authors have deleted this site.” How do I change this so that it redirects to my shoshibookblog.wordpress.com site? If I click on the avatar image next to Shoshi1 it takes me to the correct site.

Looking forward to help with this!

    Hi @shoshi1,

Realising you asked this question about a week ago now, is this something you could still use a hand with?

I’m not absolutely certain how to fix this but could you have a look at:
    1. your Gravater profile (under “Websites”) and
    2. your WordPress profile (https://wordpress.com/me – under “Account Settings” -> “Web Address”)

Check that the deleted blog URL does not appear there.

    Hi,

Thank you for the suggestion. The older comments still seem attached to the deleted webpage, but at least newer ones are going to my new site (as set up on my gravater and wordpress profile).
It’s a shame that the older comments are still linked to the old site, but at least the new ones are up to date.

Thank you for looking into this,

    Shoshi

    Thanks Shoshi,

If I stumble upon a way to cleanup the site attached to the profile on your older comments, I’ll let you know :-).
