How to link my Home tab to my original domain
-
I added a new page to my site so that I could then create a link to that page on my nav bar. However I am having trouble linking my “home page” that I created to the actual home page of my blog. Basically I want the link to be: http://thewitlessinvestor.wordpress.com/ and it is saying the link to the page I created is http://thewitlessinvestor.wordpress.com/home/ which is an extension of my permalink. I have tried to simply delete the “home” portion of that link, however it won’t delete and insists on something being in that place. So my question is how can I link the page I created to my permanent address (or my index page)? Is created a new page even the right way to go about it? I didn’t want to create a new page but then I couldn’t add a link to my nav bar without doing so.
I am using the basic wordpress dashboard.
Thanks.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

You have to set the “home” page you created as the static front page for the site.

Some themes themes have a special header tab, usually “Home” and it’s not a page such as those you create but a just link back to the front page by default or to a static page if you set it as your front page. http://wpbtips.wordpress.com/2009/05/06/the-home-tab/
The way to go is to create a custom menu as you can include what you want in it and exclude what you don’t want as well.
