How to link my own blog to my wordpress account ?

  Hi,
  I would like to know how to link a external blog (made with WordPress of course) to my WordPress account. Because when I want to register a blog (http://wordpress.com/signup/) it seems to be compulsory to have the domain .wordpress.com … and I don’t want to suscribe to a new web hosting becaus I have already one (http://gael.dacocyb.com) !
  I have read the faq and the topics on the forum, but i can’t find an answer to my question … Please help me !

  You’ll need to direct your quest over at the WordPress.ORG
  forum they would know how to accomplish what your asking.

  WordPress.ORG -> http://wordpress.org/support/

  WordPress.com or WordPress.org ? The difference.

  Sorry for the duplicate topic (just an error when I pressed Enter Key). But I know the difference WordPress.com or WordPress.org … and I wrote wordpress.com ! So, I would like to link a WordPress.com account to my external website … but your answer doesn’t help me !

  You can’t. You can’t use WP.com to manage an external blog. WP.com is a hosting site. If your blog is not hosted here, then you can’t link it to WP.com.

  I konw it is possible because I have seen someone who has the message “Here are the blogs you already have:” and his external blog !

  If you use the WordPress stats system on your external blogs, they will bet mixed up in that way, but they are still completely separate in real terms. We get complaints from people all the time who want to use the WP stats system but not have their external blogs on their WP dashboard. Once you do it, you can’t undo it, and you can’t have access to anything else. It really only shows a link to your external blog on your .com dashboard. It doesn’t link you to the global tag pages or anything else whatsoever.

  If your asking about embedding your wordpress.com blog
  on your self hosted blog then you need to ask ask over
  @ the WP.org forum. (Link in previous reply)
