How To Link Old WordPress.com Site Linked to Expired Domain to My Account?
-
Hi, quite a long time ago I linked lifeonthemat.wordpress.com to the domain lifeonthemat.com — But because of unforeseeable circumstances I lost focus on the site and had to let the domain expire. Now I want the blog back and I’ll be happy with just using the subdomain from WordPress.com but I can’t seem to link the WP site to my account. I think the reason I’m having a hard time is because it’s still linked to the domain which I don’t have any control over anymore. How can we fix this?
Thanks.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi there,
The reason you don’t see that site in your account is because that site belongs to a completely different username account. The account you’re using to post here was only created a year ago, while that site was created more than 4 years ago.
If you don’t remember the username/password for that account and no longer have access to the email address you’d used for it, your only chance to regain access is the Account Recovery form:

Is it possible to find out the email address that was used to create the lifeonthemat.wordpress.com blog? I wanna see if it’s one of my old email addresses :/

I’m afraid that is the one piece of information I cannot give you, as that’s the primary way we use to verify ownership.
If your old email address still works, try entering it on the password reset form. If it’s the correct email that will then send a reset link to that email address. If you remember your old username you can also try putting that in the password reset form.
