How to link post directly to my domain address when shared

  • Unknown's avatar

Hi. I have been using “wordpress.com” for quite some time and recently I registered my domain “twofeetglobe.com” (previously “twofeetglobe.wordpress.com”)

I want my posts to be linked directly to my domain address when shared. But whenever I share a post to my twitter account, the post link shows (for example) “http://wp.me/p3BQfS-6J” instead of “http://twofeetglobe.com/title-of-my-post”

Is it possible to get my post linked to my domain? Please assist me.

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

    Hi,

it is so-called URL shortener. It’s function is to keep URLs (web addresses) short. On Twitter and some instant-messaging services, there is a limit to the number of characters a message can carry. Using a URL shortener can allow linking to web pages which would otherwise violate this constraint.
After clicking your link “http://wp.me/p3BQfS-6J”, it took me to “http://twofeetglobe.com/2014/11/27/today-i-had-japanese-for-free/”.
That’s how the URL shortener works.
