how to link thumbnails to sub pages

i’ve been trying to put thumbnails of the artwork on a parent page so they link to a sub page, instead of just the titles of the artwork. i have mistylook, help!

I’m not clear on what you mean by sub-pages. Do you mean that you have created static pages as sub-pages and then assigned them to Parent pages as “child” pages? See here > http://en.support.wordpress.com/pages/page-attributes/
Or are you referring to Galleries? A gallery will display a set of thumbnail images attached to a particular post or page. If you upload images using the Add an Image button while editing/creating the post or page, they will be attached automatically. If you upload images directly to the media library from Media -> Add New, you will need to attach them to a post or page before they will appear in a gallery.
