How to link to another web site?

  I am trying to insert a link to a web site. I tried HTML code that was suggested and visual editor link is checked off, that didnt work. I tried using the chain link after highlighting the site. That didnt work. Need help.

  /nod to letters

  In the visual editor, you first highlight the text you want to use as the link. You then click the connected chain link icon which will bring up a dialog box where you can enter the URL of the side you want to link to. Then click the save or insert button (can’t remember what it is labeled).
