How to link wordpress site to google page?

  I want to link my echoesofthepen blog site to my google+ page but it says I need to add the following line of code to my site’s homepage:

  Google+

  I’ve no idea how to do this but in the google instructions is says I can email the webmaster of my site with the following instructions:

  Dear webmaster,

  I’d like you to link:
  http://echoesofthepen.com

  to the Echoesofthepen Google+ page:
  https://plus.google.com/101324098422948921216

  Do this by adding a link to your website’s homepage, as in:
  Google+

  For more information, visit http://www.google.com/support/plus/?p=link_page_to_website&hl=en-GB&authuser=0

  Could you please try these steps?

  1: Set up Google Webmastertools on your WordPress.com blog: http://en.support.wordpress.com/webmaster-tools

  2: Follow the steps at https://support.google.com/plus/answer/1713826?p=link_page_to_website&rd=1 (under Webmaster Linking)
