How to link youtube channel on home page of wordpress.com?

  Hi there,

  I’m trying to link my youtube channel to the wordpress home page but when attempting to do so via the ‘social media icons’ widget, this does not work work and although the link is put in, it returns with ‘this channel does not exist’.
  Is there any other way to link the youtube channel on the homepage (ideally as a sidebar) with wordpress?
