How to linki the header name to the page content
-
I’m using Twenty Ten. I wrote and published a page titled “Companion”. The name “Companion” now appears next to “Home” and “About” on the header. But when I click on “Companion”, the text for “About” appears. How do I get the page content for “Companion” to appear when I click on “Companion” ? (I’m a real neophyte so please make this a SIMPLE explanation if possible! Thanks.)

Hi there!
First off, you have “About” listed as the parent page to “Companion” and I don’t think you want that :) So, let’s make that adjustment first.
- In your site’s Dashboard, click Pages → All Pages.
- Then click Companion to open it in your editor.
- In the right-hand sidebar, you’ll see a box labeled Page Attributes. Under the label “Parent,” please change it to “(no parent).” Click the blue Update button to save that change.
Now, let’s fix that menu link:
- Click Appearance → Menus.
- Click on the little down arrow next to your Companion menu item.
- Click “Remove.”
- Now, you’ll re-add that item. In the left-hand menu, click Companion. Then, Add to Menu.
- Click Save Menu.
Then visit your site. Refresh the screen. Try the Companion menu item out and let me know if it works for you. Best of luck! :)

THANKS so much! It took about three minutes to fix (after struggling for hours yesterday to figure it all out) and was successful. Happy!
