How to locate functions.php in wordpress

    I recently tried redirecting my blog hosted on blogspot.com to my self hosted blog on wordpress. I somewhat succeeded with redirecting by copying the code to the blogspot template but i do not know how to locate the function.php file in my wordpress account nor how to paste it.
    please kindly assist me in doing thus.
