how to make a blog I no longer have access to private?

Hi,
I had a personal blog a few years ago at carmelhowe.wordpress.com. I’d like to get it taken down, or at least be able to log in so I can delete my personal email address off the site.
I tried logging in with my username and password but wordpress requested I reset my password:
‘Your account has been blocked as a security precaution. To continue, you must reset your password.’However, I cannot reset my password because the account is associated with my old university email address, which I no longer have access to. I tried to recover my account following https://wordpress.com/support/account-recovery/#account-recovery-form
but I dont have any proof of ownership and I can’t submit the form without any of the information.
The guidance says they could set the blog to private because there is private information on it but I cannot figure out how to request this. Can anyone help?Thanks so much!
