How to make a custom design for wordpress?

    Hi, I designed a website for a friend, and would like to setup a blog for her that matches the site. How can I theme wordpress to have some of the basic elements of her site?

    I saw something about “sandbox” but not sure if a free wordpress blog can use it.

    Any info would be great, thanks!

    With the CSS upgrade you can style a site anyway you want through the stylesheet. Most people base their design off Sandbox since it is the easiest to “build upon” with its great architechure, but lack of design in it already. It requires the $15 CSS upgrade though and without it, your friend is limited to the designs here in wordpress.com.
