How to make a Grid Homepage on Sketch Theme?
-
Hello!
I’m currently trying to make my blog more attractive, and I am considering making a home page displaying my latest posts, like a grid. So readers can see a picture with a title and click on it into reading my posts.
How can I do? Do I have to use Portfolio function for my homepage and making my posts projects? In that case, do they appear like freshly pressed posts in WordPress reader and will my followers see it?
Or do I have to use the CSS to create this homepage?I thank you in advance!
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi,
The Sketch theme doesn’t have a grid page template option. The template options are Default, Full Width (No Sidebar), and Portfolio Page.
Do I have to use Portfolio function for my homepage and making my posts projects?
That’s one option. You can’t make the grid on the Portfolio Page Template of the Sketch theme display posts.
In that case, do they appear like freshly pressed posts in WordPress reader and will my followers see it?
No, they will not appear in the Reader. No, your followers will not receive notification of new projects. See the relevant topics:

Themes with a grid-based or tiled posts page format, where the images of the grid or tile rows link to posts, include:
- Autofocus
- Cubic
- The Columnist
- Fontfolio
- Hatch
- Imbalance 2 (mosaic tiles)
- Mixfolio
- Pictorico
- Spun (circles)
- Visual
Or do I have to use the CSS to create this homepage?
I don’t know if CSS customization will allow you to accomplish your goal in this case.
