how to make a left-to-right page on a right-to left blog, or the reverse
-
i am running an rtl blog (masperotestimonies.wordpress.com) which should have pages in both Arabic and English.
i have tried tags like “<div dir=ltr>text</div>” but didn’t work.
“<div align=”left”>text</div>” it do align text on the left, but it isn’t the same as left-to-right, in that the starting and ending punctuations (quotes, points, etc.) are still treated to put as rtl insist. The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

You may blog in as many languages as you like but the blog can interface can be set up for only one language. You may choose only one language here > Settings > General
All WordPress.com blogs provide rtl or ltr depending on the language you choose on that page. Would you please post an active link starting with http:// to the blog in question when you post to these forums? -
Code should be:
<div align="left" dir="ltr" lang="en"> LTR CONTENT HERE </div>Or:
<div style="text-align:left;" dir="ltr" lang="en"> LTR CONTENT HERE </div> -
ah, thanks panaghiotisadam, that worked fine, i had to set both parameters ‘align’ & ‘dir’.

You’re welcome. An additional idea: since your blog is set to RTL, left-aligned ltr text may look a bit strange (since the line endings will be staggered). If you’d prefer aligned line endings, change left in the above codes to justify.
