How to make a Main Category & Subcategory appear in your sidebar, please??

    Hey,

    I have a category list in my sidebar from A to Z, which means if you press on A – you see all the reviews of the movies with the letter A.

    What I would like to create is – when you press on the letter A – a list of subcategories opens up underneath the letter A, mentioning all the names of the movies.
    E.G.: you press on the letter A in my sidebar. A list of subcategories opens itself up presenting movies Alien, Aliens, Alien³ & Austin Powers.
    Right now you can press on a specific movie (for example: Alien³) and read that movie’s review rather than having to scroll through ALL A-letter movies …

    ****WHAT DO I WANT TO ACHIEVE?****

    In my side bar there should be BOTH Main Categories (letters of the alphabet) and when you click on them a list of subcategories (names of movies).
    When you click on the Main Category, you should be able to read ALL reviews of that letter, e.g.: the letter A …
    When you click on the Subcategory, you should be able to read the review of a SPECIFIC movie …

    I’ve tried but it doesn’t seem to work.
    Let’s say I create a category “test” and a subcategory “subtest” … and I write a new message and save that underneath “subtest”, ONLY subtest appears in the sidebar and *NOT* as a subcategory. Even the Main Category “Test” does not even appear in the sidebar!

    When I decide to save that message underneath BOTH test” and “subtest”, both appear in the sidebar but NOT as a category and subcategory, but as 2 main categories …

    HELP ME PLEASE!! MEGA-THANKS!!

    Are you clear on the fact that the Categories widget cannot display any data unless or until you publish a post in each category and/or sub-category ie. a post with with the category and/or sub-category assigned to it?
