How to make a menu item custom link open in a new window or tab when clicked?

  How can I make a menu item in my navigation menu open an external custom link in a new window or tab when clicked? So visitors won’t be redirected from our homepage and be required to use the browser’s back button to return?

  You will want to activate the advanced menu settings for your menu. Once you do that you can set options individually for each menu item. One of those options is to “Open link as a new tab.”
