How to make a page break beyond entering code after the text/image?
-
I tried to make multiple pages on a single post (by using the code <!–nextpage–> but think I left something out. Please could you tell me? Perhaps I was to select the page first and then enter the code? Thank you!

Hi there,
You almost have it! It looks like you entered the code <!–nextpage–> into the Visual editor, and it needs to be entered into the Text editor, instead. Otherwise, the editor treats it like regular text. We have more information about these editors here: Editors
When you are editing your post, look in the upper right corner for the tabs that say “Visual” and “Text.” Click on the Text tab to get to the Text editor, and then paste in the <!–nextpage–> code where you want the page breaks to appear. Click the Update button to save your changes when you’re done.
Please let me know if I can provide any further help with that! :)

Aah thanks Rachel – I get it now. I will try. Never understood about the two editors – do now! thanks again!

Oops spoke too soon. When I switch to the other text editor – my images show up as code. Is that how they should be, or do I need to add the again once in text mode.
Thanks so much! -
Hi there,
Yes, don’t worry — that’s how the text editor should look. The text editor shows the HTML code behind all of your post’s content. The visual editor will show you the images in your post, and the text editor shows the HTML code for those images. You can ignore that and just replace the code for your page breaks in the text editor; everything else can stay the same.
Let me know if I can help with anything else. :)
