How to make a site SSL/HTTPS secure?
-
I manage a clients website and I’m trying to understand how to make her site HTTPS? She is a psychotherapist and this is becoming a requirement. I’m unsure how to do it though. Thanks

The correct URL for the site above is https://homefreeyogis.wordpress.com/
Read https://en.support.wordpress.com/https/ -
Thank you! So every site made with wordpress is automatically https? because that doesn’t show up when I type in the site (it is not for homefreeyogis, but for someone I work with, lifemovescounseling.com).
But it’s still true that all wordpress sites are ssl secure? -
when I type in https://lifemovescounseling.com it comes up with a red horizontal line through the https and says your site is not secure.

Hi @kristalhagman,
There are 2 versions of WordPress – .com and .org
You’ve posted this thread in the forum for sites hosted here at WordPress.com.
All sites hosted here load over https.
http://lifemovescounseling.com/ is not hosted here, it’s hosted by Hostgator, and uses software from WordPress.org
If you need to install an ssl on that site, please contact Hostgator support for advice.
To learn about the differences between the two versions of WordPress (.com vs.org), please see this guide.
Good luck!
