How to make a static front home page?

    I want to figure out how to make a static front home page on my blog. I want the home page to have my blog name and tagline with an area that will say recent post (a preview of them or just says recent post) and a call to action. Is this something available to the free wordpress.com?

    The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

    Yes, you may do all of the above on a free WordPress.com site. See the following relevant support pages and sections:

    static front page:
    Set a Static “Home” Page (Front Page)

    blog name and tagline:

    recent posts area on front page:
    I notice that your front page is presently displaying excerpts of the latest posts with links to the full posts. Some themes have a feature called “Recent Posts” on a static page that is either set as the front page, or has a particular page template assigned to it, or both. The Edin theme that’s applied to your site doesn’t have such a feature, though you could make the latest posts one of the items in the featured pages if you set a static page as the front page and assign the front page template to it. See the Front Page Template section and the Theme Options subsection of the Edin theme guide for relevant information and instructions.
