How to make a third party theme active?
-
Hello,
I bought Colorway theme from InkTheme.com. I am adding content and options to the theme. Before I publish the site to a webserver, how can I use mysite.wordpress.com to show my theme I bough there so I can collaborate with others?
Is there a way to do this? Activate Colorway theme from thirdparty? Please note, Colorway is not in your WordPress.com when I registered “imoware.wordpress.com”
My current site is: imoware.wordpress.com
Many thanks!!

There is no FTP access to free hosted WordPress.com blogs and we cannot upload third-party themes or edit templates or themes. Those found on the internet are for WordPress.ORG installs which run on different software.

http://en.support.wordpress.com/plugins/
http://en.support.wordpress.com/themes/adding-new-themes/There is no upgrade you can purchase from WordPress.com that changes anything stated here http://support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/ and restated again here > http://en.support.wordpress.com/domain-mapping/#important-notes-before-upgrading
If you want to have a blog you have FTP access to plugins and/or install themes into then you will need to hire a web host and set up your own WordPress.org install. http://support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/

P.S. If you do decide to stay here at WordPress.com the free Forever theme is based on the Colorway Theme. http://theme.wordpress.com/themes/forever/
