How to make active link in VIGILANCE Announcement Box?

  In the VIGILANCE template, in the Announcement Box, how can I make an active link?

  I just now inserted a link in the Announcement Box, but it lacked the “live link” quality.

  What should I have done to make it a live link? What little HTML code should I have added, and where?

  Create a draft post which you will later delete. After your create the link in the draft post switch to the HTML editor and copy and paste the code from it into the Vigilance announcement box.
