How to make Adelle script/font darker, e.g. from grey to black?
-
Hey there,
I’m not quite sure if this is the right place to ask about this issue – but I’ll give it a try! :)
I find the colour of the main text for the Adelle Theme way to light and hard to read and would like to change it from grey to a darker grey or even to black.
Unfortunately, I didn’t find out how and hope you guys can help me with this!
Can I do it with CSS and if yes, how? Thanks a lot

Hi there,
In general, help with these kind of customizations are best handled in the CSS Customization forum, where a ton of volunteers (in addition to our Staff) are happy to help:
https://en.forums.wordpress.com/forum/css-customization
But since you’re here… :)
You can also adjust the body test for a post/page in that post/page’s editor, no CSS required:
http://en.support.wordpress.com/visual-editor/#text-color
However, if you’re never planning to use the default gray color, then CSS might be the better way to go. Try this out first?
body{ color: #000000; }Let me know if that selector covers too many places (or too few.)
You can of course choose whatever hex-value you like for the color, but #000000 is true black. You can pick out other hex values here:

Hey Alex!
I’m sorry for the late reply – thank you so much for your help!
As I wanted to change the default color, the css code worked perfectly for me! It covered all posts.Best wishes for Christmas and the New Year
