How to make blog a grid layout

I am using Dara theme and having trouble making the blog page look different. I can’t see where to add a search bar and list of categories. It would be great to show blogs in a grid layout too…
Can anyone offer some advice please?The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

You can check the setup guide of Dara theme from this page:
https://wordpress.com/theme/dara/I don’t think there’s an option to display your blogs in grid for this theme. But you can Add Widgets to your sidebar for the search bar and categories.

I’m so sorry for the late reply.
The sidebar will show across all pages. I am not sure if there’s an option to hide a sidebar. I’m sure this can be done by adding custom css, but you need to have an upgraded plan in order to add custom css. You can find more information from this link: https://en.support.wordpress.com/custom-css/
I am tagging a WP support, you will find “modlook” tag on the side. They might have better options for you.

Thanks. I have been able to remove other items via the css so I assume I have the appropriate package
