How to make broken images work after importing
-
After migrating my blog to wordpress.com, media library images are broken. The A tag points to the correct new location of the image, but the img src tag still points to incorrect old location. I need to be able to do a search and replace on my database to redirect the img src tags to the new location. ex:
<img class=”alignnone wp-image-5496″ src=”http://osbornfiber.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/09/DSC00519-1024×682.jpg” …
should be
<img class=”alignnone wp-image-5496″ src=”http://osbornfiber.files.wordpress.com/2014/09/dsc00519.jpg” …The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi Rebecca,
That definitely should not happen! I have put this in front of some of our developers to see what they can do in this situation and I will let you know as soon as I have any additional information!

Hi Rebecca,
OK, you’re all sorted! We went ahead and adjusted the images which were successfully imported in the first place (which was most of them), but the developer noticed that there were four images which may not have transferred in the first place. You may want to go fetch those images and manually upload them:
