HOW TO MAKE "CANARD THEME" LOOK LIKE THE DEMO
-
I´ve been trying to make my blog look like the demo version, I would like to know how to do it.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi there!
Canard’s demo site features a listing of latest posts on its home page. If you’d like to replicate that look, navigate to the Static Front Page panel of the WordPress.com Customizer and check the option to display “Your latest posts” on your home page.
You can then navigate to the Featured Content panel to enter a special “Tag name.” Any posts with the tag name set in that panel will be featured more prominently at the top of the home page.
Don’t forget to set a featured image for each of your posts. :)
Let me know how you get on with the above steps or if you have any further questions.

So kind, thanks for the help :)
I have more questions about the theme, I did what you told me and it worked, what I didn´t get that much was the part about the “Tag name”, I created the featured tag name, but I don´t know how to tag a post with this tag. Another thing I would like to know how to do and I would be grateful if you could help me :) is about the home page, as you can see in the demo the recent posts look like a gallery and each one has a different size and in mine they are set as a “list” from top to bottom, also the side bar has another position. Maybe it depends on the quiantity of the posts, I´m new here so I only have two posts I created to test how it works.
I hope not to bother you and really appreciate your help :)
Greetings

Hi there, I see that you’ve added the tag TopPosts in the Featured Content panel in the Customizer.
Now you’ll need to add that same tag – with the same capitalization – to the individual posts you’d like to appear in the Featured Content area on the front page. Here’s a step-by-step guide on how to add tags to a post:
Let me know how it goes. Once you add the featured tag to your posts your site will start looking more like the demo, as you’ll now have a Featured Content area. Once you add more posts your site will look even more like the demo!
Let me know how it goes.

Hi twistandfash,
It works. I am also using canard for the first time and as suggested by the staff- kathrynwp and siobhyb it works properly.I am still a novice, with try and error I am exploring the options.
Here is my blog, take a look.

I understand now how it works kathrynwp, so kind, I wish you could help again if I have a doubt about themes configuration. “Ravindrakrishnamurthy” your opinion was great, because I could know it really works!!

I’m also having trouble creating a layout like the demo. I’ve switched around themes a lot so I’m wondering if that’s the problem?
Every time I give my posts a “tag” that matches the “featured content tag” the posts appear on the homepage the same way they would had I not tagged them to be featured. They’re all in a column unlike the demo. Any suggestions?
Thank you! -
foreverjetlaggedblog – I see this as your Featured Content tag in the Customizer:
“travel”
There shouldn’t be any punctuation there, so please remove both quote marks, leaving just travel as the tag.
Also remove all quote marks you’ve added to some of your post tags, for example in the most recent two posts, some tags have quote marks:
“night market”, “seafood”, Gili Trawangan, indonesia, travel
“blackricepudding”, “cidomos”, “snorkeling”, Gili Trawangan, indonesia, travel
If you need further help, could you please start your own thread in the Themes forum so we can troubleshoot one-on-one and all the other posters in this thread don’t receive an email notification for every reply? Thanks!
