How to make certain categories invisible?

  Is there any way to make the all the posts under certain categories invisible (or private)? Without making each post invisible?

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  sorry, I should clarify, I want to make all the posts under certain categories invisible, without manually doing that for each post.

  You cannot password protect a category, or make it invisible. About all you could do would be to set all the posts in that category to private which means you would be able to see them but no one else would. You can bulk edit posts at posts > edit and change the setting on multiple posts at one time: http://support.wordpress.com/posts/edit-posts-screen/#bulk-edit .
