How to make custom headers auto size
-
I’m having a problem making my custom header auto size to various resolutions and devices (such as mobile etc.). It appears to be a static image that is simply cropped down when viewed on differing resolutions.
Any solutions?
(I’m on the free wordpress.com btw, so no coding as far as I know — is it still possible?)

This is a limitation set by the theme you’ve chosen, Expound.
Here’s what it says from the theme’s Showcase page:
The best custom header images are decorative background images. The image will be cropped for small viewports (not scaled down) to fit the available area fixed for height and width. This means header images that work best with this theme are abstract or decorative images.

Oh, drat!
Is there a quick way to filter for the themes that do allow auto sizing headers?
