how to make custom links?

  I have a page on my wordpress (which is installed on my server via MySQL) and I want it so when someone types in http://www.mysite.com/about it will go to the about page on my wordpress.

  right now it goes to like http://mysite.com/?p=123

  I want it so if they type in mysite.com/about it will go to the same page. Thanks!

  You need to be over at the wordpress.ORG forums as the supportbot says, but you need to change your permalink structure to “day and name.”
