How to make line breaks?

  How can I make line breaks in my posts?

  I want to post some work, part of which is proper line breaks. When the editor messed up line breaks, I did some research on the issue, and near as I can tell there isn’t yet a resolution,

  tried a few of the workarounds, but none of those worked right.

  So — what is the status of this issue? Or how can I make line breaks in my WP.com posts?

  I’m wanting to do this on a WP.com hosted blog, not my own installation.

  In the Visual editor, you click return for a paragraph break and shift-return for a line break. In the HTML editor, you click return twice for a paragraph break and once for a line break.

  well … I got the line break thing to work. But I have indented paragraphs in there too, and I can’t seem to make those work with the line breaks. I can kind of make it work in the HTML editor, but I’ve observed that the second I go back to the Visual editor, the whole thing falls apart again.

  At this point I’m inclined to just make a picture of the work in question, and post it that way. Unless you have another suggestion?
