How to make mainpage webpage NOT blog

Hello,
I am using the calm business theme. I thought that this theme is, as the name suggests, for making a website for my business.
Unfortunately, the mainpage defaults to a blog setting (?!?). This is NOT the first impression that I would like make for my site. BUT, I cannot seem to change it.
I have tried just using the blog page and transferring across the blocks from the webpage that I had constructed thinking that it was the mainpage… but the blog ‘post’ setting seems to prevent me from creating the same types of blocks as the ‘pages’ setting that I used to create my pages.
I am nearly finished construction of my webpages, and now cannot use any of it because my mainpage opens to an ugly, nasty blog-like something and I cannot seem to change it.
PLEASE could someone tell me how to make this change so that I publicly publish my pages and start giving the url out to potential clients?

“Setting Up Your Homepage
The demo site is using a static homepage. Follow these steps to achieve the same look:
Publish two pages and give them titles that are easy to remember, like “Home” and “Blog.” To publish a page, navigate to My Site → Pages → Add Page.
Next, go to Customize → Homepage Settings.
Select “A static page” and choose the two pages you published in Step #1 — “Home” and “Blog” — as your Homepage and Posts page, respectively.
To give your site a more streamlined look, hide the static homepage title. To do this, scroll down, and check Hide Homepage Title.
