  I would like to understand how can I make my blog readable by selected people only
  Is that an extra feature?

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  Hello,
  You can make your site private. Go to My Sites > Settings > General and tick the box next to “I would like my site to be private, visible only to myself and users I choose”. Then click “Save Settings”.

  Once your site is private, add viewers so they can see your content.
