How to make my blog resemble the theme I selected.

  I chose expound theme, but my blog doesn’t look like it at all. I paid for an upgrade just to to put a colored pattern behind the box. Now the main box is very small, and the none of the posts photos show unless you click on each post. I chose expound so that photos from several posts would show at the same time.
